Another poor, celebrity inspired photoshop image

Am I the only one totally nonplussed that Hulk Hogan said that he understood OJ Simpson's motivation for becoming a total fuck up ten years ago? Maybe it's because I spent a good part of my childhood adoring Hulk Hogan, or maybe its because he seems to require surgery just to get out of bed in the morning, but I can't imagine the Immortal Hulk Hogan, small gloves, and a white Ford Bronco being one of this decade's defining moments.

I think it's just the fact that he said he can empathize with a murderer, which is something that most people probably aren't willing to admit. He didn't even add the ass-covering caveat of "Now, I would never do it, but..." and just expects people to take the fact that he hasn't already as a guarantee that he won't in the future.

I mean, when what's his face shot up Virginia Tech and was supposedly rambling about trust fund kids and debauchery, I went "Ok, I agree with you. However, there's better ways to handle that situation than to shoot people." Does this mean that I'm dangerous? No, it just means that I can understand his motivations, even though I don't agree with the means he chose to handle his feelings or thoughts or whatever.

We're in a society where people rely on soundbites, don't really pay attention to their context, and have to have everything spelled out for them. With that in mind, I'm a little surprised there wasn't a bigger uproar, but I'm totally in the same boat with you as far as being nonplussed that he said it. I mean, if Eminem can write "Kim", then I think the Hulkster can say he understands why someone would have murdered their wife.

i'm impressed by your use of nonplussed. i don't think i've ever seen it used on the internet before. and Hulk Hogan is just a little crazy from all the steroids.
